The Coconut Fiber Laptop Sleeve with Traditional Tais is a premium handcrafted accessory that combines environmental sustainability with the rich cultural heritage of Timor-Leste. Carefully made by a women’s artisan group in Baucau Municipality, this laptop sleeve is crafted from recycled coconut fiber (coconut coir) and enhanced with authentic Timorese Tais, creating a distinctive and elegant design.

Developed through the Coconut Coir Production and Prototyping Training under the Brand Timor Initiative, this product demonstrates how agricultural waste can be transformed into practical, high-quality items while creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for local women entrepreneurs.

The product design was created through a collaboration between the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Timor-Leste (AEMTL), the International Labour Organization (ILO), and the European Union (EU). By combining natural coconut fiber with traditional woven Tais, this laptop sleeve celebrates Timorese craftsmanship while promoting environmentally responsible production.

Designed to protect laptops during daily use and travel, it offers a stylish, durable, and sustainable alternative to conventional synthetic laptop cases. Each piece is handcrafted, making every sleeve unique in its texture, weaving pattern, and Tais design.
